Safety & Speed Monitoring

Guardian Drive collects location data to enable driving speed monitoring, trip recording, and geofence alerts even when the app is closed or not in use.

Why? This is required to detect when you are driving and automatically activate the “Driver Mode” app restrictions to keep you safe.

Data Privacy: This location data is encrypted and shared only with your linked Parent account. It is never shared with third parties for advertising.

2. Prominent Disclosure: App Blocking (Usage Stats)

This should appear before you redirect the user to the “Usage Access” or “Accessibility” settings page.

Driving Distraction Protection

To keep you focused on the road, Guardian Drive requires permission to detect which apps are currently running. Function: When your speed exceeds 15 MPH, we will use this permission to “shield” or block non-approved apps. Privacy Commitment: We do not record your app usage history, messages, or personal content. We only check if an app is open to determine if it should be restricted based on your speed. 3. The "Account Deletion" Link (Google Requirement)

Google now requires a web-based way to delete accounts. You should add this to your website and include it in your Data Safety Form in the Play Console:

The Page Content: “To delete your Guardian Drive account, please log in with your SSO/OTP. Once confirmed, all parent/child profiles, location history, and encryption keys will be permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.”
